It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Last journal before I go

I figured I'd write a last journal before I head off

It's a little long, but READ IT ANYWAYS ASDFGHJKL

Just some random updates things. I'm not too happy right now because of the whole thing that Student Loans screwed up (long story

),so I'm not getting my loan on time, so I'll most likely be paying my £72 a week rent a bit late (I don't think the Uni will mind though, I emailed them about the situation). £72 a week seems like quite alot just for one room which I'm sharing with someone else (!GracieDrakey), although we get all bills included which isn't too bad, plus free internet

I'm just glad I took out an interest free student overdraft from my bank because I'll really need it. I have some savings, just not enough to keep me going until I get the loan.

Then there is Freshers Fortnight. Not just a week.... 2 freaking weeks of non stop drinking LOOL. I definitely won't be able to afford much, I'll be on the bottles of water for most of it haha

I'm not a big drinker so I don't really mind. Plus, drink makes me sleepy.

I also had a haircut yesterday and I look like freaking Cleopatra, I don't think I like it. I'll have to wait for it to grow in I guess, idk.

I'm also peeved because Lion King doesn't come out in the UK until October 7th, which sucks balls. The same with Dragon Quest Joker 2, that came out in the US yesterday, but we don't get it until October 7th bleh.

Happy news?

I'm off to Uni on Thursday!

Grace will get there hours before me though. We're going to start up ToA once we've settled in too, depending on how busy our classes are. and when we get the internet set up.

I'll gonna miss Ben though (my boyfriend, *Hellrain). I've lived with him for the past 2 years, it'll be strange.

Sorry for the lack of artz though, I haven't really been feeling up to drawing the past week or so, I've been wasting away watching Oban Star Racers haha (tis a French/Japanese anime thing).

Hope everyone else is doing well!
